Stay at home parents - I salute you!

To all the stay at home parents out there, whether you're a SAHD or a SAHM, I salute you. Today is my wifes birthday but we cant celebrate like normal birthdays due to her being in hospital yesterday for pain injections in her back. She is on bed rest for 48 hours. You can see yesterdays post on this here So, today I became a stay at home dad. This isn't an issue, I have had them before on my own but generally only for a couple of hours while Kerry goes out. When I'm off work we always do something together so it is both of us helping out so, I can say that I am not really used to having them on my own. I love my children more than anything but would I ever want to be a stay at home dad? Hell no!

Pregnancy - What I imagine it's not like

You have to cook a baby for 9 months. I imagine it's not like cooking a roast. Thank you! You often feel bloated. I imagine it's not like being bloated from too much KFC. Thank you! You have lots of sickness which isn't very nice. I imagine it's not like the sickness after a bitchin night out. Thank you!

What you can expect from a 6 year old boy

As our kids grow up they learn how to interact with other people and the world around them. These changes can be quite stressful for children and they handle them in different ways. I have a 6-year-old son and a 2-year-old daughter. In the last year, I have noticed a big difference in my son's behaviour. What can you expect from a 6-year-old? Since going into year 2 at school, Josephs behaviour has changed dramatically. Thankfully, after speaking to some of the other parents, it is not just Joseph. Josephs best friends mum said "It's like they are a hormonal pregnant woman" as their emotions are everywhere. Josephs tiredness level has a major impact on his behaviour which I'm sure it does with all children. By far the biggest change we have seen since he went into year 2 at school and turned 6 is the drastic change in his emotions.
