Grape Fasting

What Is Grape Fasting And Why Am I Doing It?

Grape fasting is the process of only eating grapes for a set period of time alongside drinking water with lemon and nothing else.

My wife did this for a few weeks a while ago and this had great benefits for her. It's hard but worth it. Grapes are great for detoxing your body. This is something I definitely need.

I have high cholesterol and a bit of a fatty liver. Alongside stomach/bowel issues. This is mainly down to my diet being that of a teenager still. I'm hoping this fast will reset my body and I can start to feel healthier and more energetic. I will be documenting how I'm feeling over the next 12 days or so. I plan to stop the fast on Sunday 5th March.

I'm starting with 24 hours of water with lemon only. Then on day two, I'll start to eat and drink juiced grapes throughout the day and follow this through until 5th March. Hopefully, I won't murder someone when I get a craving for some chocolate.

You can watch a video on Youtube about the benefits of eating grapes here. A summary of the video is below.

Summary: 1. They're Highly Nutritious Grapes are jam-packed with Vitamin C & K. One cup of red or green grapes can fill more than a quarter of your daily requirements. Vitamin K is absolutely essential for healthy bones and blood clotting. Vitamin C ensures that your connective tissues are healthy. Also, grapes have literally no fat. Pretty cool, huh? 2. Full Of Antioxidants Grapes have over 1600 beneficial compounds. This includes antioxidants. If you’re given a choice between different grapes, you should definitely pick red grapes. They have higher antioxidants in them. 3. Protects You From Cancer Grapes have been found to safeguard you from a few types of cancer. This is all because of the special plant compounds it contains. 4. Reduces Blood Pressure Grapes keep your heart healthy. Just one cup will give you around 300 grams of potassium. This will complete 6% of your recommended daily intake. Lower intake of potassium has a definite link to strokes and heart attacks. This was confirmed by a study that found that people who ate higher levels of potassium-rich food were less likely to die than those who had smaller amounts.
