Looking for a break away in the UK? Maybe just a weekend away or you're looking to go for a few more days, you'd be hard pressed to find somewhere better than with Haven.
We have had 4 mini-breaks with Haven in the last 2 years and loved them all. One was a Monday to Friday stay and the other three were for a Friday to Monday stay.
The three Friday to Monday stays where all at the same place which was Flamborough on the east coast. It's about 50 minutes drive from where we live.
We have stayed there many times before but recently Haven bought the site and have given it a much-needed facelift. It is now very impressive!
My wife loves Flamborough, she has been going to the Thornwick bay site for 30 years now and her dad has been going even longer. It has many great memories for her and she wants to give our children great memories also.
The site offers lots fields to play on, little parks for the kids to play in, fishing, swimming, a gym and plenty of activities you can get the kids doing so you can have a nice relaxing sit down in the restaurant/bar if you wish.
The night time entertainment is brilliant, we have been out of season a few times and there is no difference in the quality of entertainment that you get from in season. There is a beach about five minutes walk from the site which has caves which you can explore. There is also a small pub near the beach where you can get a pint or an ice cream for the kids (or yourself)
As you can see from the pictures, Flamborough is a beautiful place and Haven has done an excellent job with the site. We can't wait for our next trip.
Our kids love going to Flamborough, they love the night time entertainment, the beach and the swimming pool. They also love having photos taken with their parent's sunglasses on!

I've grown up with Haven holidays, as I went on them every year as a child! Used to take part in the great child entertainment shows.... I still know all the words to the Tiger Song and know all the actions lol! :-)
ReplyDeleteNow I have a family of my own we've introduced Haven to them, and we have been quite a lot.
Not been to the Thornwick Bay one, so that must be new. We've been to Primrose Valley and Blue Dolphin which are just up the road though lots of times.
Also several other Haven sites dotted around the country! :-)
