Around 35 days ago I decided I would try the 30-day blogging challenge. I was struggling for inspiration and thought that this would take the inspiration out of it as I would have topics already laid out to write about.
Let me put it this way, I am sooo glad it's over. 30 days of blogging, thinking about what to write for each topic and then the promoting of the posts. Oh the promoting! it was a nightmare. As I'm fairly new to blogging I didn't realise just how tiring it would be just to promote your posts each and every day. Usually, I would write one or two posts a week and share them at different times across that week.

Today's post is day 30.
So, was it worth it?
I averaged around 100 pageviews per post which meant this challenge has given me around 3500 page views in the last 30 days which I am really happy with.
The biggest thing I am happy about is how many extra Twitter followers it has gained me. In the 30 days, I have probably had around 350 extra followers than I had before the challenge. It has also allowed me to connect with many other great bloggers.
My top 3 posts by page views are
My Favourite Movies 242 views
A picture of somewhere I've been 186 views
If you are a new blogger and wanting to boost your profile, get more page views, more followers on twitter, then this could be the thing for you. I am glad I have done but I would never do it again unless I spread it out over 3 months instead of one. I would advise anyone who is doing the challenge to write up as many posts beforehand as possible. If you have children like I do it is very hard to find the time to write every single day.
I am now going to get back to blogging about anything and everything that takes my fancy, but I will be taking a week or so off from blogging to recharge my brain.
Thanks to everyone that followed all the posts!
